HISTORY
Who we are?
Our journey didn’t start here in the U.S.—it began in Afghanistan, in the royal homes where our family came from. Life there followed strong traditions. Men were in charge of business, politics, and leading the family in public. Women, on the other hand, had one main role: the kitchen. Cooking wasn’t just something they did—it became their skill, their pride, and their way of expressing love.
In that world of big family meals and special gatherings, recipes were passed down like treasures. They were shared from my grandmother to my mother, and then to me. Over generations, the women in my family perfected these dishes with care, patience, and love.
What we serve today isn’t just food. It’s heritage on a plate—a reflection of our roots, our resilience, and the richness of Afghan traditions and cuisine. Every kabob, every dish, carries the flavors of a family story that began generations ago and now continues here, through Afghan Kabob House
